There is the football mad Aussie, the dog loving Zimbo, the two very loud third culture kids and of course the mad Basenji. Delve deeper into who makes up The Nomadic Lifers and find out more about our expat family and what we think of this nomadic life we live.

More about Hubby

Starting with the most senior of our Crew, Hubby is the reason behind our nomadic life (so he will be the one paying for the kids therapy). His career working within supply chain in the mining arena has given us the opportunity to live life in countries many people can only dream of visiting. He is your typical Aussie in that to maintain his sunny disposition he needs a regular infusion of Aussie Rules Footy along with a good meat pie and an ice cold beer.

More about Lauren

I have been a nomad for two thirds of my life now and the thought of being stuck in any one location permanently is enough to make me break out into cold sweats. In my next life I will most likely be a travel agent as I do feel like I am constantly researching and booking the next adventure. I am not complaining though and I am fully appreciative of the incredible opportunities we have.

More about Finley

The drummer in the family and my right hand man. The responsible first born who likes to colour in the lines and is so straight-laced we regularly have to remind him that rules are there to be broken. With a superb sense of humour and the talent for finding likeminded gentle souls to build friendships, he is such an enjoyable human to be around.

Favourite home country so far: Russia

Number one pro about expat life: Trying out new foods.

Number one con about expat life: Learning a new language.

Favourite family travel experience so far: Diving in the Maldives.

Loves: Sushi, drums and exploring the ocean.

More about Casey

Talented in all things sports related, this little man keeps us all on our toes. Not only do his feet never stop moving but they are at the opposite end of a brain that never stops churning. He will challenge the most patient of humans, just because he can. But when you need a cuddle, or someone to have your back, there is no one more fierce or loyal when it comes to caring for his tribe.

Number one con about expat life: Aeroplanes.

Favourite family travel experience so far: Dubai.

Boris on the boss

Boris the Basenji

It is easy to overlook Boris’ penchant for slippers when his crazy zoomies around the house bring so much laughter and his excitement for outside time has our boys putting down the PS controller to join the fun.

I questioned the sanity of my decision to take on a pet while living in Moscow but he has chewed and snuggled his way into our hearts and is now the mature one in the family.

Favourite travel experience: Holidays at MoonDogs

Loves: Chewing slippers, zoomies & playing at The WagZone.

Introducing Rafa the Ridgeback

An unexpected addition to our family, Rafa certainly keeps us on our toes while he adjusts to his long limbs and oversized paws.

Not the brightest in the pack, he makes up for for this lacking with an exuberance for life and play.

Favourite travel experience: Holidays at MoonDogs

Loves: Boris & zoomies through the water at The WagZone.
